About the Outdoor Recreation Summit
The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission and Bartow County present the 2026 Outdoor Recreation Summit. The Outdoor Recreation Summit is a must-attend event for local parks and recreation staff, economic development professionals, transportation and land use planners, as well as elected and appointed leaders. The Summit focuses on how to plan, fund, build, market, and sustain active and passive outdoor recreation in both rural and urban communities. Attendees will enjoy experienced speakers, diverse topics, mobile workshops, and networking opportunities all centered on the nexus of outdoor adventure and economic development.
Registration to attend the Summit is only $225.00!
We are looking for speakers! Submit a session proposal!
This interactive and engaging conference brings together recreation professionals from across the state for two full days of learning and networking. We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic speakers who can engage 200+ professionals in topics that are relevant, meaningful and will allow them to walk away with tools, techniques, and strategies for improving their work. The audience will consist of professionals from the recreation field, local government staff and officials, and economic development professionals. Each session will be 1.25 hours and may consist of a sole presenter or panel of speakers. Please feel free to submit more than one session proposal. Presenters will be notified in early April on the status of their proposal(s). Don’t miss this exciting opportunity! Submit proposals by Friday, March 20th.
